Tadashi Hayashi was born in Kizugawa City, Kyoto Prefecture, and grew up with parents who ran a photography studio. He has been involved in a wide range of activities in recent years, including serving as the producer of the local "Kizugawa Art" since 2019.
This exhibition, his third solo show at Bloom Gallery following 2015 and 2017, will feature 11 black-and-white works taken with a large-format film camera over the past few years. These works, all shot in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, not only carefully capture memories of familiar people and places, but also offer a glimpse into the artist's eye that seeks to examine the relationship between the past, present, and future from a broader perspective, based on the theme of "recording memories," which is also the theme of Tadashi Hayashi's work.
An opening party will be held on Saturday, December 10, and a talk event will be held on December 17.
[Event] Talk Event Date and time: December 17 (Sat), 14:00 and 17:00 (no reservation required, free of charge)
