Takayo Akiyama
London-based illustrator Takayo Akiyama is active in Europe and Japan. This art installation, created in collaboration with Shugo Moritani, the Creative Director of New Balance Tokyo Design Studio and Akiyama's classmate from their time at Central Saint Martins in the UK, expands on the world of the T-House original character "Oyaji" and his family. These characters were initially illustrated by Akiyama for manga and T-shirts at the opening of T-House New Balance in July 2020 and later became the original stickers for T-House.
The exhibition will feature oil paintings on canvas, three-dimensional and AR works, and newly drawn manga pieces (which will be distributed as a limited-edition zine for free).
