This exhibition presents original watercolor illustrations created for animal encyclopedias published during the late Showa era. Rich in detail and alive with expression, the paintings reveal a scale, energy and delicacy that could never be fully conveyed within the pages of a book. Alongside popular works from previous exhibitions, the exhibition also features a selection of previously unexhibited originals, all available for purchase.
