This exhibition marks an attempt to reexamine a long-standing practice centered on drawing on square paper -reconsidering it from new angles and reconstructing its possibilities. The presented works explore drawing not only as a visual image but as matter, seeking to reveal its structure, its materiality, and its potential to evolve into new forms.

The exhibition features two bodies of work: the Orgm series and the Extract series, each approaching drawing through different conceptual and structural frameworks.

Orgm Series

Inspired by origami, the ORGM series transforms abstract drawings into material objects through folding, layering, and deformation. Rather than remaining on a flat plane, the drawings become sculptural panels, embodying a rhythm formed by surfaces in motion.

The works echo the cultural language of origami - where folding carries wishes, prayers, and quiet intentions - allowing these subtle emotions to inhabit the physical act of lines, folds, and planes intersecting. Through this approach, the drawings evolve beyond their original function, becoming visual experiences that hold both material presence and emotional resonance.

Extract Series

The Extract series examines the relationship between the individual and the collective - the tension and harmony that emerge when a singular identity exists within a larger whole. To express this interconnectedness, the typically rectangular canvas is replaced with a circular form, symbolizing continuity, harmony, and an existence without beginning or end.

Using silk-screen techniques, all-over pattern drawings are printed across circular panels. Though born from the same source plate, each work becomes a unique entity. These individual forms coexist and interact, and it is through that coexistence that a collective identity becomes visible.

The series reflects on the fundamental question of originality: how singularity and commonality intertwine, and how individuality contributes to - and is shaped by - the whole.

Together, the Orgm and Extract series reconsider drawing beyond the flat surface, unfolding its physicality, symbolism, and philosophical depth. Through reconstruction, transformation, and relationality, this exhibition seeks to reveal drawing not simply as representation, but as a structure of existence.
