Takuma Imao

Takuma Imao (1992-) intervenes in existing spaces and systems to temporarily transform their nature and create artwork and sound performances. His "Work with" series, which uses air conditioning equipment installed in buildings to produce sound, is considered his representative work. The Kiyosu City Haruhi Museum of Art views its entire building and the concept of a museum itself as part of the framework of the artwork. By sometimes boldly and sometimes subtly making alterations, it brings about changes in our consciousness and behavior. For Imao, artworks are not independent entities but rather collaborate ("work with") with all events present at that moment, including the creative process.

Access	20 minute walk from Kiyosu Station on the JR Tokaido Main line; From JR Kiyosu Station, take the Kiyosu Ashigaru bus for 45 minutes and get off at Yumehiroba Haruhi; 10 minutes by taxi from the West exit of Inazawa Station. 10 minutes by taxi from the East exit of Shin-kiyosu Station on the Meitetsu Nagoya Main line.
