Takumi Ueda
Takumi Ueda graduated from the Department of Fine Arts Anatomy at Tokyo University of the Arts Graduate School. Subsequently, after working in the design department of a well-known theme park, he began his career as an artist. Since becoming independent in 2017, he has continued to present his works in various fields such as painting, illustration, design, film, and columns, while integrating animation and art. Ueda does not aim for a finished form but rather surrenders to the changes that arise while creating, sometimes adopting an improvisational and incidental production style. How does the artwork exist? By imbuing paintings with the time and story cultivated by the artist, he creates works with enduring vitality against the filtration of eras and time.
Following his exhibition in Yufuin during the New Year holidays, this exhibition will be his solo exhibition in Kyushu. It will feature nearly 20 pieces of artwork, including new works that incorporate a fresh approach by the artist.
