Takumi Ueda engages in various fields such as painting, illustration, design, and video. In this exhibition, Ueda presents primarily layered works, adding new iconography to the artist's past drawings. Ueda embraces the evolving nature of painting, using an improvisational style, wherein the artwork's transformation during creation is key. The artworks embody the idea that paintings evolve both during their making and over time, post-completion.
