Taro Miura
Taro Miura (b. 1968) made his debut as a picture book author in Europe in 2004, and has since published a series of popular picture books in Japan, including "Stuck" and "Chiisana Ousama". His picture books, which captivate readers with their excellent sense of design and development full of ideas, have been translated and published in many countries. Miura began creating picture books after visiting the "Bologna Children’s Book Fair. Illustration Exhibition" at the Itabashi Art Museum. The museum has accompanied Miura in his activities and transitions for more than 20 years since his first selection for the Bologna exhibition in 2001.

In 2014, Miura began presenting a series of tableaux (paintings) made using stencils, and an exhibition was held at the Museo d'Arte Moderna di Bologna. In recent years, he has also been working on landscape sketches.

This exhibition, which introduces Taro Miura's work in picture books and tableaus, will include original drawings for picture books, new tableaus, and landscape sketches that will be exhibited for the first time to provide a fuller picture of his production.
