The gentle and rambunctious Tyrannosaurus, the melancholy Ultraman, and the unique cats, pigs, and wolves ....... What Tatsuya Miyanishi wants to convey to children are dreams, hopes, and above all, kindness and compassion. His work includes "Father is Ultraman," "Papa is Ultra Seven," and "Unko," which won various prizes at the Kenbuchi Picture Book Village Grand Prize; "Kyo wa Nante Unga Iindaro," which won the Kodansha Publishing Culture Award for Picture Books; "Nyago," "You look good," "Fushigi na candy ya san," "Chicchana Truck Red-kun," and many others.
In addition to exhibiting approximately 200 works from his student days, which can be considered the starting point of his career, sketches filled with creative ideas, and original drawings of his popular picture books, including his latest work, the exhibition will also feature a reading session of his picture books by the artist himself during the exhibition period.
