Enjoy a long-awaited exhibition featuring Japanese-style paintings created in the Meiji era and later, centering on the museum's collection. While exploring things newly acquired and re-evaluated by the stimulation of the West, visitors will look at the "tradition" from the Edo period that continues to flow beneath them and practically interpret works. Making sure of what changes with the times and what doesn't, and newly discovering values and aesthetics unknowingly handed down through generations will lead to a greater appreciation of the present.

Taste and see the fruits of Japanese-style paintings produced in the modern age, from works representative of the Shizuoka Prefectural Museum of Art to hidden masterpieces.
