About two years after Teodora Axente’s previous solo exhibition, this second exhibition will feature 10 new artworks. Axente explores the spiritual journey of self-discovery and the quest for a new identity. The artist emphasizes the concept of "individual transformation" through paintings, with supernatural compositions involving characters and objects. Axente's recent works often depict semi-human, semi-beast figures, symbolizing the duality of human spirituality and instinctual desires. Axente draws inspiration from Gospel and Bible texts, Byzantine symbolism, and elements from the Greek Orthodox Church and the Bible. Axente's unique surrealist style gives the artist's classical-looking paintings a contemporary twist, reflecting the artist's profound imagination as well as the themes of personal growth and transformation.
