Textiles of Sweden: Nature and Home Life in Scandinavian Design

Setagaya Art Museum
Starts 9/19
In Sweden, a land of long harsh winters, colorful textiles play an important decorative role, bringing joy to home interiors regardless of the season. The simplicity and warmth of their modern designs sparked a textile production boom in the mid-20th century and continue to be cherished by people throughout the country. Featured here are over 200 Swedish textile works and related materials, selected from several precious collections of vintage textiles.
