The Agency for Cultural Affairs will hold the 25th Japan Media Arts Festival from September 16 (Friday) to September 26 (Monday), 2022. With its main site at the Miraikan in Odaiba, Tokyo, this year’s annual event features winners of a Grand Prize, Excellence Award, Social Impact Award, New Artist Award, and Under-18s Award for the categories of Art, Entertainment, Animation, and Manga. The winning works were chosen out of 3,537 entries from 95 countries. Festival Platform Awards were selected from among 125 entries from 40 countries. In addition, the Distinguished Achievement Award will be presented to an individual who has made a significant contribution to the field of media arts. The achievements of the Merit Award winners will also be featured.
