The 30th Anniversary of the Anime Series Chibi Maruko-chan

Chibi Maruko-chan" was first serialized in the girls' manga magazine "Ribon" (published by Shueisha) in 1986, and its anime broadcast began in 1990.

The bright and humorous Maruko-chan and her friends' daily lives are depicted in the series, which has become a national anime loved by everyone and filled with laughter during the broadcast hours.

This exhibition will feature approximately 350 works, including celluloid drawings, sketches, storyboards, and videos, and introduce behind-the-scenes aspects of the animation production process. Also on display will be handwritten scripts, character setting materials, and private works by the original creator, Momoko Sakura, who passed away suddenly in 2018, to give an insight into her thoughts on animation and her daily life.
