Artists

Tomoko Konoike
The audience is no longer only human." The art that has been centered on the viewpoint of human beings is now facing a major turning point with global issues. In this view, contemporary artist Tomoko Konoike (b. 1960) will attempt to further develop various initiatives to liberate the audience from the conventional museum system, which she attempted in her 2020 solo exhibition "Chugaeri" (Artizon Museum). Taking over from the Takamatsu City Museum of Art, where the exhibition will be launched in the summer, both the artist as a creature and the collection as an object will be re-released and transformed along with the climate and landscape.
