The Sumitomo Collection is known for its Chinese bronzes. Starting in the Shang Dynasty, more than 3,000 years ago, China developed advanced casting techniques and produced many bronzes with delicate and intricate forms. This exhibition introduces the charms of Chinese bronze through the themes of the four rooms.
