The Owari Tokugawa Family: All of the Masterpieces

The Tokugawa Art Museum
Finished
In November 2025, the Tokugawa Art Museum and Yomogi Bunko will celebrate their 90th anniversary. In 1935, the Tokugawa Art Museum was opened in Nagoya, and the Yomogosa Bunko was opened in the residence of the Owari Tokugawa family in Mejiro, Tokyo, before being transferred to Nagoya City in 1925. Both museums continue to preserve and pass on the collection of the Owari Tokugawa family, which was the first of the three families of the Tokugawa shogunate.

This exhibition introduces the entire picture of the Tokugawa Art Museum and Yomogi Bunko through masterpieces, including important cultural properties, and related materials that tell the story of the museum's 90-year history from the Showa period to 2025.
