Chihiro Iwasaki, Noriko Ibaraki, Toshiko Okanoue
Chihiro Iwasaki (1918–1974), Noriko Ibaraki (1926–2006), and Toshiko Okanoue (1928–present) were three remarkable women who forged their own unique forms of expression after World War II as a picture book illustrator, a poet, and an artist, respectively. This exhibition focuses on the true faces of these three women through the theme of “attire.” Featuring their cherished belongings and photographs, this exhibition highlights their diverse aesthetics, ways of life, and shared desire for freedom and peace.
