"Kodomo no Tomo" is a monthly picture book that has maintained high artistic standards since its debut in 1956. It stands out for featuring artists from diverse fields like Western painting, Japanese painting, sculpture, and manga who collaborate to create unique picture books using various storytelling techniques and materials. An exhibition will present original artwork from the Miyagi Museum of Arts' collection, highlighting essential works from "Kodomo no Tomo" and beloved picture book originals cherished by generations of children.
