To widely disseminate the Art Communications Programs it launched in 2012 and let people experience them, the Tokyo Metropolitan Art Museum is annually holding “Welcome to Art Communications Programs” as of 2023. In this, the event’s third year, we will look at collaborative learning in museums with a focus on social connectivity, fostered among different people through dialogue with artworks, and social participation, motivated by an interest in culture.
This exhibition will feature two artists and an artist team who value connectivity with others and involvement with cultural assets in their art practices. An archive exhibition concerning “Museum Start i-Ueno” will also be held, along with a documentary video display and participatory workshops fun for children and adults.
Tobira Project art communicators (Tobira) will be on hand at the exhibition to welcome visitors and create opportunities for them to enjoy the artworks with other people. Why don’t you partake in the museum experience, one day during summer vacation?
