Gallery KIDO Press is pleased to present “Time-lapse” by Tokuro Sakamoto from Saturday, March 28 to Sunday, May 10, 2026.
We have had the privilege of producing Sakamoto's print works since 2009. After 17 years, in this new printmaking project, he has created on a landscape that many people has likely seen at least once, guided by a fresh and intriguing perspective. Precisely because these are everyday scenes, I believe Sakamoto reconstructs them within himself, selecting a single frame with a sharpened perspective and sensibility, resulting in serene landscapes and distinct textures. The exhibition will feature six prints, including new cherry blossom works perfect for the coming spring, along with the original painting of a cherry blossom landscape.
