Tomoko Sue
Tomoko Sue's work reflects the mystical landscapes of Kudaka Island and the emotions that could be described as spiritual experiences felt on the island. Sue expresses the blending of one's presence into the sea, sky, and nature, as well as the resonance of the heart in sacred places, using rich colors and delicate touches.

Kudaka Island, a remote island in Okinawa, is considered a sacred island where, according to mythology, the ancestors of the Ryukyu people first landed. In Okinawa, it is believed that beyond the eastern sea and at the bottom of the ocean lies an ideal paradise called "Niraikanai." People are said to be born from Niraikanai and return to it after death.
