Tomonari Hashimoto
Tomonari Hashimoto (1990-) creates minimalist ceramic works in the form of spheres and cubes with unique textures and combines them with mortar forms. Hashimoto is an internationally acclaimed ceramic artist whose works are included in the collections of the Victoria and Albert Museum in England and the Los Angeles County Museum of Art in the United States.

Hashimoto was born in Yuasa-cho, Wakayama, and received his doctoral degree from Kanazawa College of Art in 2017. In 2023, the exhibition "Natsuyasumi no Museo 13 feat. Tomonari Hashimoto" was held at the Museum of Modern Art, Wakayama.

In this exhibition, Hashimoto's works will be installed in conjunction with the Kumano Kodo Nakahechi Museum of Art, with the theme of expression conveyed by his presence.
