Tomonori Taniguchi
Tomonori Taniguchi, born in 1978 in Osaka, began creating picture books as a student of Japanese-style painting, aspiring to become a picture book artist. Taniguchi debuted in 2004 with Monkey and Moon, painting vivid worlds with acrylics on black paper. The characters, from monkeys to Santas, each have unique colors and embody kindness and dreams. Taniguchi aims to share emotions globally through the books, exhibited in a retrospective of a 20-year career featuring 350 pieces.
