Traveling Light Kiri-e Exhibition - It's Magic!

Okayama City Museum
Finished

Artists

Atsumi Sakai
Kiri-e artist Atsumi Sakai blends light and digital elements with the warmth and beauty of kiri-e (papercutting), creating fantastical spaces through imaginative expressions known as "light kiri-e."

At Okayama City Museum, approximately 20 pieces will be exhibited, including original kiri-e works tailored for the occasion. Sakai's creations include pieces like "Ichigai Nikyou," which transforms into two entirely different images depending on how the light is directed, and "Earth Sketch," a magnificent piece depicting various changing landscapes of grand natural scenes such as forests, waterfalls, and seas. These works, woven with light and shadow, envelop viewers in a dream world filled with gentleness and warmth. Experience the nostalgic and emotionally stirring "experiential art".
