From Saturday, January 17th to Friday, March 20th, 2026 (national holiday), special lighting artist Taira Ichikawa, contemporary artist Takashi Nakajima, and video artist Masayuki Kawai will be holding an installation exhibition in a huge space using light, sound, and video on the theme of "Volatility." There will also be talks with guests and live performances by Ichikawa and Kawai.

Volatility represents the unstable nature of our modern world. Boundaries between fact and fakery, justice and evil, mind and artificial intelligence—all boundaries are being shaken. Confusing information, widespread distrust and hostility, a divided society, and the big data that controls and manipulates them. Is avoiding risk, keeping our eyes glued to our smartphones, and entrusting our hearts and minds to AI—the only way to survive? Yet

this chaotic situation can also transcend the limits of digital computation, inviting contingency and allowing imagination to emerge from these cracks. The three artists, each of whose work focuses on the relationship with fluid environments, have come together to create a chemical reaction. Light runs through the web of light, and images suddenly appear here and there, instantly evaporating into shadows and dancing. Amidst this

volatility, we move between chaos and cosmos, striving for a time and space that generates new freedom.
