As the 4th installment of " Dokokade? Genbi" at Yebiden Gallery, we will introduce Hiroshima-based Daigoro Yonekura. At first glance, the paintings presented this time may look like ink paintings depicting majestic landscapes. In reality, however, it is a fictitious image created by repeatedly copying landscape photographs taken by the artist himself using a black-and-white copy machine, cutting and pasting the fragments, and connecting them. Yonekura explores the relationship between "landscape" and "us" by constructing images that go back and forth between landscape paintings and landscape photographs, between reality and fiction.
