At Yamaguchi Center for Arts and Media (YCAM), as part of the exhibition series "Yamaguchi Seasonal 2024," showcasing installation artworks previously produced and presented by YCAM in downtown Yamaguchi City and historical sites will exhibit the installation artwork "Without Records" by Yoshihide Otomo, Yasutomo Aoyama, and Takayuki Ito.
This piece is a sound installation consisting of numerous portable record players, utilizing media technology. It is one of the representative works originating from YCAM through collaboration between artists and the center. Since its debut in 2008, it has been exhibited extensively both domestically and internationally, evolving in form and receiving high acclaim. Following last year, it will be re-exhibited at YCAM's branch, Satellite A, located in downtown Yamaguchi City.
