Vague Kobe

Artists

Yuichiro Noda
Yuichiro Noda captures intangible elements, revealing subtle nuances in the air and the passage of time in everyday life. His perspective brings forth a world that leaves a quiet resonance with the viewer.

In this exhibition, the sceneries that Noda encountered during his visit to Arles are exhibited at Vague Kobe—which also has a home in Arles, creating a unique dialogue between the two places through photography. With a distinctive hue shaped by its rich light and limestone, Yuichiro captures the city of Arles as fragments that he only sees, infusing the exhibition with his unique vision.

The earthen walls of Vague Kobe, crafted from local natural materials, transform the atmosphere and experience in each room. By combining these photographs with the space, the exhibition challenges the viewer’s perception of the essence of photography and space.
