Yuji Nishijima
Pola Museum Annex is pleased to present the first large-scale solo exhibition of sculptor Yushi Nishijima from April 28 (Friday) to June 4 (Sunday), 2023. Nishijima's works are composed of hand-wound pieces of copper wire, which are joined together to form motifs. He has exhibited numerous sculptures and installations in Japan and abroad, using deer, elephants, yatagarasu, and other mythological animals as his subjects. This exhibition features three works, including a new installation. The word "Zuisho" in the title of the exhibition means a good omen. The motif of "God" is presented in two large works, a phoenix, and a dragon.
