Yumi Takahash
Yumi Takahashi was born in 1971 in Oita Prefecture. She completed her postgraduate studies at the Graduate School of Fine Arts at Tama Art University in 1999. Since the late 1990s, Takahashi has been showcasing her works in solo and group exhibitions. Inspired by Gaston Bachelard's book "The Poetics of Space," she began creating book art and box works. Takahashi continues to create with a strong emphasis on "poetic sentiment," drawing inspiration from various stories and narratives. This new exhibition, her second solo show at our gallery, features box works centered around the theme "The Pleasure of the Garden" and also presents small panel assemblages.
