Yuriko Asano creates artwork that traces her interactions with people she meets and her own experiences while exploring food culture and the use of plants. Her impressive body of work, created through a combination of Japanese painting and oil painting techniques, reflects her strong interest in plants and food culture, celebrating the cycle of life and inherited traditions.
This exhibition will unveil new works inspired by walnuts, a beloved symbol in Iwate Prefecture, as well as showcase some of her representative recent works.
