Artists

Yuriko Kurimoto
Yuriko Kurimoto (1950-2017) was a prominent artist active in Nagoya since the 1970s, known for unique installation works in the 1980s. Although Kurimoto was a prominent contemporary artist from Nagoya, Kurimoto's works, which were closely tied to existing spaces, have not been preserved, except in records. This project, in partnership with the Yuriko Kurimoto Archive, is a retrospective of Kurimoto's work, encompassing the Kurimoto's early unreleased pieces up to the time when the artist ceased painterly production. Its goal is to understand the essence of the artist's spatial installations.
