Yuto Yamada "Japanism"

Open Gallery 1&2
Finished

Artists

Yuto Yamada
The exhibition features photography works by Yuto Yamada, a photographer who lives in Germany, in conjunction with the release of Yamada's photo book Japanism. In Germany, Yamada has been shooting advertisement photography and photographing the ruins left by the partition of the East and West. However, upon returning to Japan after a long absence, Yamada rediscovered the splendor and beauty of the country the artist had taken for granted while living there. Yamada then began focusing on the theme of bringing the beauty of Japan to the world. This exhibition will feature about 30 works, including helicopters, night views of Tokyo from the Sky Tree, and nature in Nagano. These photographs were selected from Yamada's four-year collection of images of 47 prefectures throughout Japan in all seasons.
