Totem Pole Photo Gallery opened in 2008. The gallery is currently run by Shinya Arimoto, Wan Chaofan, Keijiro Kai, Gang Misun, Minami Sakamoto, John Sypal, Anna Shimmyo, Dan Epthorp, Den Gai, Kouhei Hirose, Yuta Fuchikami, and Takahiro Mizushima. Centered around regular exhibitions by the 12 members, the gallery also rents out its space. 
The gallery changed its name from Lotus Root Gallery to Totem Pole Photo Gallery in January 2008.
