Matsuoka Museum of Art is a private art museum located in a quiet residential area of Shirokanedai, Minato-ku. The exhibition consists solely of approximately 2,400 works of art collected by Seijiro Matsuoka, a businessman who lived through the Meiji to Heisei era. The collection ranges from ancient Egypt, Gandhara India, ancient Greece and Rome, oriental ceramics, Japanese paintings, and western paintings, allowing visitors to relax and enjoy art as if they were traveling around the world.
