MURASAKI PENGUIN PROJECT TOTSUKA (MPP Totsuka) is an artist-run performing and multimedia arts space located in Totsuka, Yokohama, Japan. Taiyo Construction Co., Ltd. opened the facility housing MPP Totsuka in September 2022 as an element of their corporate social responsibility strategy. The facility includes a daycare centre on the ground level and MPP Totsuka’s studio below, with unique wooden architecture by Kengo Kuma and Associates. The MPP Totsuka space is run by the artist group Murasaki Penguin. It hosts experimental performances, exhibitions, workshops, and an artist-in-residence program.
