Hiroshige Museum of Art, Ena
Finished

Artists

Kuniyoshi Utagawa, Honen Tsukioka
Ukiyo-e has long been loved by the Edo people as a popular medium for conveying the latest fashions and information. After the end of the Edo period, when Western culture was accepted in Japan, Ukiyo-e was further developed into a wide variety of subjects with a wider range of expressive styles. This exhibition introduces the colorfully depicted Ukiyo-e from the end of the Edo period to the Meiji period.
