Toyo Ito
Always starting from ideas relating to the human body and nature, Ito creates architecture fusing new technologies with his own. His recent works invite us to experience a sense of the extraordinary. Today, he is an internationally renowned contemporary architect.
"The New 'Real' in Architecture" has been on tour from Tokyo Opera City and the Sendai Mediatheque , yet this exhibition is greatly revised from the earlier shows. The exhibition is divided into three - Space A introducing sketches and models of "Emerging Grid", Space B featuring 6 major projects with large scale models installed in the space, and Space C to introduce 35 years of his architectural studio activities.
