In Beijing, China, destruction and regeneration of the city constantly take place. The city is in flux where everything becomes ambiguous between existence, disappearance and recreation. It is as if watching something at double speed. Is that building in front of us being built or being destroyed? Is it being extended or just abandoned? Are there any inhabitants under the wreckage of the building? Yellow sand and dredge-up dirt cover up both the people and the traces of their existence in such a city. In this exhibition, Koshima's 22 color photographs will be on display.
