Takeji Fujishima, Saburosuke Okada
Takeji Fujishima and Saburosuke Okada were pioneers of modern Western-style painting in Japan with a profound sensitivity to color and unrivaled technical skills. They received high acclaim for their human portraits and landscape works, but are known for their paintings of female beauties in particular. On display at this exhibition are some 100 representative works by the two painters.
