Tsuyoshi Ozawa
A major solo show for contemporary artist Tsuyoshi Ozawa, who turned heads at Yokohama Triennale 2017 and has built a career with works drawing from art history and his own surroundings with humor and sharp insight. The new installation “Imperfection” considers “plaster figures/plaster figure-drawing” and incisively reinterprets Western subjects from Japanese perspectives. Ozawa also spotlights Japanese art history with new arrangements of works such as “The Return of Painter F,” offering food for thought about what art and art history really are.
