Kobayakawa Shuseiー A Life of Journey and Requiem

Tottori Prefectural Museum

Artists

Shusei Kobayakawa
The Japanese painter Kobayakawa Shusei has deep connections to Tottori Prefecture. His works as a military painter had attracted public attention, but in the prewar years, he also traveled throughout Europe, the United States, and Asia, leaving behind many poetic and colorful works. This exhibition features representative works and documents from his early to later years to provide a complete picture of his "uniqueness" as a Japanese painter.
