Tottori Prefectural Museum

The Tottori Prefectural Museum was founded in 1972 on the grounds of Tottori Castle Park as a facility to contribute to the development of education and culture for the people of the prefecture.
The permanent exhibitions with over 3,000 materials, "Geology and Biology", "History and Folklore", and "Art", introduce the nature, history, and art of the local area. In addition, the museum holds special exhibitions based on specific themes, as well as educational activities such as lectures, courses, and tours. The museum also publishes exhibition guides, annual reports, research reports, catalogs of the museum collection, and Tottori Prefectural Museum News for the use of visitors.
