As LGBTQ and gender diversity and other forms of sexuality have become more prevalent in recent years, LGBTQ and gender-themed art, or queer art, has been attracting attention in the art world as well. In response, this exhibition selects four young queer artists active in Tokyo to hold an exhibition in Shinjuku.
The first exhibition of queer art will feature the work of four gay male artists, who will exhibit their work based on the concept of "Behind the Closet.”
The exhibition will feature a wide variety of genres, including oil paintings, Japanese-style paintings, prints, three-dimensional works, installations, and paint performances.
