The collection of the Chiba City Museum of Art follows three areas: "Works Related to Boso, Centered on Chiba City," "Early Modern to Modern Japanese Paintings and Prints," and "Contemporary Art Since 1945".

In this gallery, works representing each of these collecting policies are presented one after another from the approximately 10,000 pieces in the collection. Exhibits are changed approximately every other month (approximately every three months for contemporary art) to showcase the highlights of the collection.
