Edgar Sarin
Edgar Sarin's first solo exhibition in Japan presents works inspired by the peasant world. The paintings, created with huge stamps cut from oak wood, are generated by primitive gestures, echoing the frescoes of Pompeii.

The first motif of this exhibition is Halley's Comet, the most famous comet in the history of art, painted by Giotto in the Scrovegni Chapel in Padua in the early 14th century and also in the Bayeux Tapestry in Normandy in the 11th century, in a form very similar to Edgar Salan's painting.

The second motif, depicted in a Mesopotamian relief, is the process of transformation of milk on a dairy farm. Edgar Sarin says that cheese is a component of Mediterranean civilization. In addition to the paintings, the exhibition will also create site-specific architecture that will be the centerpiece of the exhibition.
