Hiroshi Asada, Shoichi Ida, Kosuke Kimura, Akira Fujinami, Shintaro Iba et al.
From 1967 to 1975, the Kyoto Art for Tomorrow Exhibition was held at the Kyoto Prefectural Center for Arts and Culture. The exhibition, which served as a place to discover newcomers to the fields of Western-style painting and printmaking and to witness their potential, is still held today as the "Kyoto Art for Tomorrow: Selected Exhibition of New Artists from Kyoto Prefecture.”

This exhibition showcases the "newcomers" who continued to confront the two-dimensional world at a time when the framework of art was being denied and criticized.
