Michio Takahashi
Michio Takahashi, a first-year student of the former Abashiri Junior High School (now Abashiri Minamigaoka High School), founded the art club "Hakuyo-ga-kai" (White Western Painting Club). After graduation, he studied academic techniques in the classroom of Takeji Fujishima at the Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music (now Tokyo University of the Arts). After graduation, he was based in Uozu, Toyama Prefecture, and Nagoya, and was active in the Kofukai and Nitten exhibitions.
