The second "Opening the Art Center” exhibition will connect the museum to the surrounding community under the themes of "community" and “play” to celebrate the opening of the Civic Auditorium, which will be located next to Art Tower Mito
This exhibition, based on the characteristics of the Museum's Contemporary Art Center as an "art center," will consider the gallery as a "place where art is created" in addition to "exhibition and appreciation. We aim to bring the "creative" role of the art center to the forefront and create a place that draws out the creativity of artists as well as local residents.
The main venue, the museum's contemporary art gallery, will be a place where a wide range of people, from children to senior citizens, can enjoy creating and interacting with each other, and with "community" and "play" as keywords, will exhibit works from the collection and introduce projects that have been carried out in collaboration with local organizations and citizens, serving as a base for citywide development.
